Bottle Service: Revamp How You Re-Use!

Posted on March 08 2013

bottletitle
Do you have tons of bottles laying around that you have no idea what to do with? That party you just threw left you with lots of empty bottles, but you don’t want to just throw them away. Here’s a few ideas that can take you leftover bottles from the recycling bin to the centerpiece of your home!

chalkboard
1. “Write it out”

One of our new favorite things is chalkboard paint. So why not spray paint your old bottles. This takes message IN a bottle to a whole new level… try message ON a bottle. All you have to do is buy some chalkboard spray paint and a little chalk and get to writing.

lights

2. “Put a Little Light in your Life”

Have some old Christmas lights? Throw them in a bottle, plug them in and watch them sparkle! If you don’t want the messy cords poking out the top, then drill a hole in the bottom and feed the cord through there. Warning: this does take some skill and there’s a chance that you may break a few bottles in the process.

flowers

3. “Bring some Flowers Home”

One of the best and easiest things to do with your old bottles is turn them into a vase. The only thing you need to do is take the labels off! It’s that simple. Go out and get yourself some pretty flowers and enjoy the bright colors every time you walk into the room.

bedazzle

4. “Bedazzle it”

This is the greatest and girliest craft that you can do with a bottle. It also makes for a perfect birthday present. Just buy some jewels at the craft store and use a hot glue gun to fix them to the bottle.

accessories

5. “Store your accessories”

We all need a place to keep our jewelry. This bottle specifically has all of my hair ties stored on it. It’s easy to put them all on and even easier to grab the one you want when you need it. You can also store bracelets on a bottle like this.

coastal

6. “Enjoy the coastal life”

Want to bring a little bit of the beach home? Just throw some seashells into a bottle and place them on a shelf so you can look at the seashore all day long. Putting sand in a bottle is another way you can see the sea all day long.
Happy DIY’ing!
